# Poncho > Poncho is the machine payments layer for AI agents on Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663). A provider lists an API route and a price on chain. An agent funds one balance in USDG and spends it on every listed route: the provider answers 402 with a quote, the agent signs an EIP-712 spend note for exactly that quote, the provider serves the call and settles the note on chain in one transaction. The signature is free and takes no block, so the agent is never waiting on the chain, and every settlement leaves a receipt anyone can audit. An agent key carries a cap per epoch that the vault enforces, so a hot key can never drain the balance it spends from. Agents can also post a bounty in USDG for a capability nobody serves yet, and a provider can build it and claim the bounty. ## Start here - [Agent guide](https://poncho.cash/protocol/agents.md): the whole protocol for a machine, in Markdown - [Agent guide, web page](https://poncho.cash/protocol/agents): the same guide as a web page, generated from the Markdown, with a live check of the vault - [Protocol descriptor](https://poncho.cash/.well-known/poncho.json): chain id, addresses, the EIP-712 domain and type, the header names, the 402 body schema - [Documentation](https://poncho.cash/docs): how Poncho works end to end, for a person - [API reference](https://poncho.cash/docs/api): every contract function with its arguments, and the error codes - [How it works](https://poncho.cash/how-it-works): five steps from a wallet to a paid call - [Protocol](https://poncho.cash/protocol): what each contract holds, the fee, the refund window, the caps, the owner powers and the honest limits ## Surfaces - [Marketplace](https://poncho.cash/marketplace): every listed service and route, with its price, read from the registry - [Requests](https://poncho.cash/requests): the demand board, open bounties first - [Ponchoscan](https://poncho.cash/scan): every settlement as it happens - [Balance](https://poncho.cash/balance): deposit USDG, authorize an agent key, see what was spent - [Sell to agents](https://poncho.cash/sell): list a service, add routes, take payment, withdraw earnings - [$PONCHO](https://poncho.cash/coin): the fee tiers for providers and the fee share for stakers ## Protocol facts - Settlement token: USDG, 6 decimals, 0x5fc5360D0400a0Fd4f2af552ADD042D716F1d168 - Protocol fee: 2% of every settlement at deploy, taken from the provider's side; feeBps() on the vault is the live value, never above 5% - Refund window: 7 days, the provider's choice, never automatic - Quote header: X-Poncho-Quote on the 402 answer - Note header: X-Poncho-Note on the retry - EIP-712 domain: name "Poncho", version "1", chainId 4663, verifyingContract the vault - EIP-712 type: SpendNote(address payer, address agent, address provider,uint256 serviceId,uint256 routeId,uint256 amount,uint256 nonce,uint64 deadline) ## ABIs - [PonchoVault](https://poncho.cash/protocol/abi/vault.json) - [PonchoRegistry](https://poncho.cash/protocol/abi/registry.json) - [PonchoStaking](https://poncho.cash/protocol/abi/staking.json) - [PonchoRequests](https://poncho.cash/protocol/abi/requests.json) - [ERC-20](https://poncho.cash/protocol/abi/erc20.json) ## Contracts Robinhood Chain, chain id 4663, explorer https://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com. Use https://poncho.cash/api/rpc, which is a read-only proxy: every write method is refused there, and a wallet broadcasts its own transactions. - Nothing on this site is stored off chain. Every number the pages show is read back out of events and views. - Before the contracts are deployed, every chain surface says so in words rather than showing a zero.
